2007 V-Twin Awards

The V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati once again played host to the V-Twin magazine awards ceremony.  The annual awards ceremony pays tribute to those individuals and companies who have made a major contribution to the V-twin Industry.  The big winner at this year’s ceremony was Harley-Davidson, who received two awards from master of ceremonies Dave Nichols, Editor-in-Chief of V-Twin magazine.  The Milwaukee Company was honored with the 'Accessory of the Year' and 'Cruiser of the Year' for its Smart Security System and FXSTC Softail Custom, respectively.

Among the other volume manufacturers to receive awards were Yamaha, which took the 'Metric of the Year Award' with its Roadliner.  The Custom Production Bike award went to Rucker Performance and Hellbound Steel collected the award for its Stripper, named Production Bobber of the Year.  Production Chopper of the Year was awarded to The Griffin from Saxon Motorcycles, and American IronHorse received the coveted Bike of the Year honor for its Slammer.  Individuals whose contributions to the industry were honored were Danny Gray, Industry Leader of the Year, and Jon Kosmoski, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.  Danny's award was in recognition of his 35 years as a custom seat manufacturer, supplying seats to many of the greatest bike builders in the world alongside first time builders and custom shops.  Without Jon Kosmoski the custom bike world would be a less colorful place, as Jon is the founder of House of Kolor.  Over half a century since Jon started the company he is still introducing new innovations and working to create even more creative paint finishes.
