Bill Rucker
Rucker Performance
Bill Rucker is the founder and CEO of Rucker Performance, a manufacturer of high performance American muscle and chopper motorcycles. He is a designer, builder and fabricator, bringing entrepreneurial experience and more than 30 years of management success in motorcycle manufacturing, drag racing and hot rods to the company.
In 1975 Rucker started his first business called Rucker Speed Shop, a high performance shop that restored the paint and body of hot rod cars. With hard work and dedication, Bill built a company around his passion for cars.
Rucker spent the next two decades working in the transportation industry and focused on international trade. In 1995, he decided to return to his original passion of high performance machines. Teaming up with a group of motorcycle enthusiasts, Rucker founded and became CEO of American IronHorse, a manufacturer of factory custom cruiser and chopper motorcycles. In 1996, Rucker established his own EPA-approved independent emissions laboratory, Texas Environmental, to test factory production motorcycles.
American IronHorse quickly became an important name in the motorcycle industry, filling a niche for quality, high performance bikes with custom paint previously seen only on custom motorcycles. In 2003, Fast Company magazine named Bill Rucker as one of the nation's 50 most innovative leaders and companies. Later that year, American IronHorse was awarded Inc. magazine's list of the top 500 fastest growing companies in the United States.
After more than eight years with American IronHorse, Bill elected to leave and start his latest venture. In 2004, Rucker launched Rucker Performance, a company that carries his name and entrepreneurial spirit for performance, precision and quality. Bill Rucker is committed to developing motorcycles with quality, technological innovation and extensive customization. The company manufacturers American muscle and chopper motorcycles with a custom motorcycle and hot rod manufacturing and restoration division.
