MI’s Annual Report, cont’d

Motorcycle Industry

According to their press release, the Rucker Performance motorcycle has almost twice the horsepower of a stock Harley-Davidson. "Utilizing only top quality components, the company offers motorcycles with unique sheet metal and gas tank design, an eye-catching paint job and cutting edge designs," the release explains, adding that the Assassin, Rucker's newest creation, takes advantage of the latest technology available in the motorcycle industry. Rucker tells us that yes—the Assassin is created out of a carbon- fiber-composite body that decreases the weight of the bike and increases the durability of the motorcycle. And yes, the fuel tank is made out of Super-Form aluminum used by Boeing, Lockheed and British Aerospace. But one of the most critical features on the Assassin, according to Rucker, is the new, patented Windlink suspension, an Indy-style cantilever suspension. The Gauntlet, according to Rucker, is the latest and greatest in fat-tire bikes. "The drop seat design gives the Gauntlet a low center of gravity for better handling, stability, comfort and ergonomics. In addition, the Gauntlet offers 54 mm inverted forks and a fully polished, 124-cubic-inch S&S engine and six-speed transmission, says Rucker. They also tell us they're offering the Predator with monster torque, fit and finish of a one-off custom bike, a motorcycle Rucker asserts is built with the raw-adrenaline spirit of drag racing. Finally, the Vandal, which Rucker says is their latest American Muscle bike, is set to grace our streets. The Vandal has a 300mm rear tire, rigid frame, razor front fender and custom forward controls. Rucker says it is powered by a powerful, 124-cubic-inch S&S engine with a six-speed right side transmission, 45 degree rake and race inspired front fork.
