September 2004 - What a weekend at the Rucker Performance National Drags in Ennis, Texas! Nine new records set, three or four bikes left the line without their riders, and one unfortunate accident, which I will get into more detail later.

The last time I wrote about the AHDRA Drags in Texas, we had a low turnout—it was hot and I had a few learning curves to adjust to.

This year was much better! The weatherman predicted rain, beginning on Sunday until the last few days- then he changed his forecast, telling us it wouldn’t rain until Monday. Guess what? He was right. Except for a nasty wind, you couldn’t have asked for better weather. And who would have guessed I learned something, but I really did.
