Arlen Ness Sells The First Predator Motorcycle

We have all had the experience of being drawn to something special and doing whatever it takes to make yours. That happened to Star Scott during Daytona Bike Week, 2005.

Finding a safe haven from the weather, Star and his wife Greer ducked into Arlen Ness of Daytona and began checking out the bikes. After awhile they ended up at the prototype of the new Predator Motorcycle built by Rucker Performance.

“I wasn’t even looking for a motorcycle,” said Scott. “I just felt moved to buy it.”

Working With Arlen Ness Motorcycles - Daytona

Star worked out the details with Store Manager, Shelly Rossmeyer, of Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Daytona, and a few weeks later he took delivery of his red Predator sporting tribal flames.

“When I came to pick up my Predator the entire shop came to a stand still,” said Scott. “The head of service and the head of sales said that they didn’t know how Bill (Rucker) could construct these bikes at the price he’s is marketing them. I’ll say this about the Predator; I’ve never seen a bike with a better fit and finish.”

Back home Star put the Predator through its paces and found that the bike is stable at all speeds, handles well, and has exceptional balance with a 300 series rear tire. He likes the torque and the 130 horsepower that pumps out of the S&S Cycle 124 CI engine.

First Place In Ultra-radical Custom Class

Star took his bike to a local Motorcycle show in the suburbs of Washington D.C. where 1,500 bikes were vying for awards and prizes. The judges didn’t realize that the Predator was a production bike so he had to submit it into the Ultra-radical Custom class. Even though this class was more competitive, the Predator motored away with the trophy for first place.

When not riding the Predator, Star is using it as a promotional tool to introduce his Calvary Temple ministries, which includes a Christian school, adult Bible College, media ministry, and mission programs.

About Finish the Race Ministries

Through Finish the Race Ministries, Pastor Scott is building a community of faith within the family of IHRA drag racing, its participants, sponsors, officials and fans. In addition to providing spiritual services, Star and his wife Greer are racing at IHRA events throughout 2005.

The Predator and the racing Scotts will be at the IHRA races in Toronto, Canada on July 29-31, Norwalk, CT on August 25-28, and Rockingham, NC, on October 7-9.

The Predator Experience

To sum up the Predator experience, Star said this about his new bike, “I’ve had custom Corvettes, Ferraris and dragsters and this is the only thing that has ever exceeded my expectations.”
