Mike Barcher's 1969 Mustang
Mike has owned his 1969 Mustang Mach 1 for more than 16 years. He has done several things to the exterior and interior of this car but has always had a problem with the under hood appearance.
In its 37 years, the car had been wrecked several times before Mike owned it. The inner sheet metal and suspension towers were very wrinkled up. The Rucker Performance automotive team discussed the car with Mike and agreed to improve it for him. Tommy Eddleman and the team disassembled the car and discovered the extent of the damage. After a trip to a local body shop for some frame work, they replaced the entire front clip from the frame rails up. Mike located a donor car and the crew went to work making one out of the two.
While the drive train was out Mike sent the engine out for a complete rebuild and had it returned to the Rucker Performance shop just in time for reinstallation. The Rucker Performance body shop team replaced both front floor boards then set up the donor clip for installation. After squaring up the car everything was welded together once again.

When the car was in the body shop Tommy and his crew cleaned, rebuilt, polished and painted every piece of the front suspension. Tommy relocated some ignition components and repaired the 37 year old wiring harness to a like-new appearance. Once the car returned from the body shop, the crew made sure that the interior, suspension and drive train were back in running order. They lined up all of the sheet metal with a little touch up and polish. Mike was now ready to pick up his baby.
Mike was very excited to return to the drive-in car show schedule. With his Rucker Performance rebuilt Mustang he began to bring home many much deserved awards.
